The rinse, lather, and repeat portion of Social Conquest can only be obtained once a fortress has been posted online. Upgrades will also be available to prevent karma from rearing its head and another player taking over. Once past the defenses, the fortress can be claimed, customized, and fortified. How this mode will work is a player will need to first initiate the invasion by taking out all of the defensible Orcs. The ranked online aspect of Shadow of War will be called Social Conquest. It was recently revealed that Shadow of War will feature a ranked online mode that enables a player to invade another player’s captured fortress and make make it their own. Though Middle-Earth: Shadow of War isn’t a multiplayer title, it will have a multiplayer-esque aspect to it similar to that of the base infiltrations seen in MGS Phantom Pain.
